Beep Painting Biennial 2024

My small painted ep cover Painter Man is on show at the Beep Painting Biennial 2024: I won’t Stay in a World Without Love.

13 January - 4 April 2025. School of Art Gallery, Aberystwyth University SY23 1NG

The painting has also been selected to show at Beep 2024 at Oriel Croesor , Hen Bryn Gelynen , Croesor LL48 6SS. Opening 27 April 2025.

Mawddach Residency

I have been selected for a Mawddach Residence in April /May  and will be drawing in the landscape.

The Mawddach Residency offers space for thought, reflection and creation - an opportunity to completely immerse yourself  in your practice and leave with a renewed passion for your work. 

Artists, writers and musicians are invited to spend two weeks away from distractions along the banks of the Mawddach Estuary, in the beautiful surroundings of the Eryri National Park.

Images remembered, together with films, paintings and photographs I have seen, I usually select a few that move me to make into a painting.

“If a mind is like a railway station with trains of thought chugging in and out constantly, then the cargo of such in mine consists of memory, home, loves, wallpapers, flowers, perfumes and performers. From this plethora of images remembered, together with films, paintings and photographs I have seen, I usually select a few that move me to make into a painting. Out of the churn of mind comes the very stillness of a painting that delights me. Its tranquility is its grace. The woven and constructed image, in fact it’s very artifice becomes something that offers a new reality.”
